VACUUM PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 2.0L TFSI Engine: Removing

WARNING:

The fuel line is pressurized, do not disconnect!

-- Remove the engine cover carefully from the retaining pins, one after another.

The vacuum pump is installed in the engine compartment on the right side facing the rear.

-- Remove the small vacuum hose from the fuel line.

-- Remove the fuel line bracket on the vacuum pump and fuel high pressure pump.

-- Disconnect the fuel high pressure pump connector -1-.

-- Remove the high pressure fuel pump -2-, refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose at the hose clamp to the vacuum pump.

CAUTION:

Do not damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

-- Remove all the screws on the vacuum pump sealing flange -arrows-.

NOTE:

Do not disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum line on the plenum chamber bulkhead -2-.

-- Remove the vacuum pump from the mount.
