VACUUM PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 2.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seals.

Make sure the seals are correctly installed.

-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

-- Install and tighten all the bolts -arrows- on the vacuum pump sealing flange, refer to -item  1- Torx 30 Bolt (Quantity: 2).

-- Push the new hose clamps over the vacuum hose.

-- Push the vacuum hose over the connection to the vacuum pump.

-- Compress the hose clamp on the vacuum pump connections with pliers.

CAUTION:

Do not damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

-- Install the high pressure fuel pump, refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fuel line bracket on the vacuum pump and fuel high pressure pump.

-- Connect the small vacuum hose to the fuel line.

-- Connect the fuel high pressure pump connector -1-.

-- Install the engine cover.
