High Pressure Pump, Removing And Installing, 2.0 L TDI Engine: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seals.

Make sure the seals are correctly installed.

-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

-- Install vacuum pump.

-- Install and tighten all the screws on the vacuum pump sealing flange, refer to -item  1- Torx 30 Bolt (Quantity: 2).

NOTE:

Install the two nuts under the pressure sensor bracket and tighten.

-- Slide the new clamp over the vacuum hose.

-- Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.

-- Close the hose clamp with pliers.

-- Push the coolant pipe over the vacuum pump stud.

-- Install the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor bracket to the vacuum pump.

-- Tighten the bracket.

-- Install the pressure sensor lines into the bracket.

-- Install the pressure sensor.

-- Install the engine cover.
