Muffler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and pull the rear bumper cover -1- slightly downward.

CAUTION:

The decoupling elements in the front muffler could be damaged.

Do not bend decoupling element in front muffler more than 10°.

-- Loosen the clamping sleeves -1 and 2- and slide them toward the rear.

NOTE:

Ignore -1, 2 and 3-.

-- Vehicles with exhaust door control unit: disconnect the left and right connector -4- on the exhaust door control unit.

WARNING:

There is a risk of accident due to the weight of the muffler.

To remove the muffler a second technician is required.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and then remove the muffler.

-- Install the bumper cover, refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
