Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 3.0L TDI Bi-Turbo Engine: Removing

-- Remove the generator, refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 3.0L TDI BI-TURBO ENGINE .

-- Remove the bolts -arrow-.

On the transmission side, bottom right

-- Remove the engine mount .

-- Remove the nut -1- and free up the ground wire on the engine support.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the right engine support.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- by sliding the retainer back and pressing the release down.

-- Take out the nut -4- and remove the B+ wire -3- from the solenoid switch.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and the starter -1-.
