Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 2.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to OVERVIEW - STARTER .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the starter.

To tighten the bolt -2-, insert the spacer sleeve -arrow- between the starter and transmission.

-- Install the engine support and the right engine mount, refer to OVERVIEW - SUBFRAME MOUNT .

-- Install the turbocharger support, refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the catalytic converter: Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . Install the front exhaust pipe: Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the tower brace, refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect the battery. Take the necessary precautions, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING . Vehicles with a high voltage system, refer to Battery -A- AND Auxiliary Battery -A1-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
