General Description - Electric Drive Power And Control Electronics

The link between the Electro-Drive Drive Motor - V141- and the Hybrid Battery Unit -AX1- forms the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- -1-. It contains the Electrical Drive Control Module -J841-, the Voltage Converter - A19-, the Intermediate Circuit Capacitor 1 - C25- and the Drive Motor Inverter - A37-.

The Drive Motor Inverter -- changes the 266 V direct current in the Hybrid Battery Unit -AX1- to 360 V alternating current when the vehicle is being driven by the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141-. The Voltage Converter -A19- changes the high voltage to low voltage to supply the 12V vehicle electrical system. The Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- is water-cooled and is installed in the front of the plenum chamber in the center.

The following high voltage cables are connected to the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- :

Hybrid Battery High Voltage Cable, Positive Terminal -P1- to the Hybrid Battery Unit -AX1-. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE SET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Hybrid Battery High Voltage Cable, Negative Terminal -P2- to the Hybrid Battery Unit -AX1-. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE SET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Drive Motor High Voltage Cable 1 -P4- to the Electro-Drive Drive Motor -V141-. Refer to DRIVE MOTOR HIGH VOLTAGE WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Drive Motor High Voltage Cable 2 -P5- to the Electro-Drive Drive Motor - V141-. Refer to DRIVE MOTOR HIGH VOLTAGE WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Drive Motor High Voltage Cable 3 -P6- to the Electro-Drive Drive Motor - V141-. Refer to DRIVE MOTOR HIGH VOLTAGE WIRING HARNESS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Electrical A/C Compressor High Voltage Cable - P3- to the Electrical A/C Compressor -V470-. Refer to ELECTRICAL A/C COMPRESSOR HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

The fuse for the Electrical A/C Compressor -V470- is integrated in the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-.

It is not possible to replace the fuse. It is not possible to disassemble the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- any further. Replace the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- if it gets damaged.

Potential equalization cable to the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-. Refer to Figure.
