Test sequence

Camshafts removed.
Roller rocker lever removed.

Insert camshafts in cylinder head and tighten with outer bearing caps - arrows -.
Secure dial gauge holder VW 387 to dial gauge on cylinder head:

Wear limit for intake and exhaust camshaft.

Axial clearance: max. 0.20 mm.
