High Pressure Lines

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

NOTE:

Tighten union nut on the fuel high pressure pump, refer to Figure

High pressure line connections must not show any signs of damage.

Do not bend the high pressure lines to a different angle.

Never bend any of the fuel line mounting clamps.

If a mounting clamp was bent, or if the fuel line is being replaced, then the mounting clamps must also be replaced.

-- Coat threads on the union nut with fuel.

-- Tighten high pressure line union nuts by hand, making sure they are seated without tension.

-- Use VAS1331 with the open end VAS1331/2 to tighten the high pressure line on the fuel rail.

-- Only install the retaining tabs after tightening the high pressure lines.

-- Check fuel system for leaks.
