Lower Intake Manifold With Fuel Rail Overview

- Left and right, removing and installing, refer to LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH FUEL RAIL
- Sleeve
- Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-
- 20 Nm
- Bracket

- High-Pressure LineWARNING:
There is a risk of injury because the fuel is under very high pressure.
- Before opening high pressure area of the fuel injection system, fuel pressure must be relieved to residual pressure.
- Reduce fuel pressure in the high pressure area, refer to BEFORE OPENING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM .
- Do not change bent shape
- Never bend bracket from the fuel line.
- If bracket is bent, or if the fuel line is being replaced, then the bracket must be replaced.

- Make sure it is seated properly
- The fuel rail wields force via the support ring to hold the fuel injector tightly in the cylinder head.
- O-ring

- Coat with clean engine oil
- Spacer ring
- Replace if damaged
- Combustion Chamber Seal
- Replacing, refer to FUEL INJECTORS .
- Radial Adjustment
- Replace if damaged
- Clip with support ring -17-
- Fuel Injector
Removing and installing, refer to FUEL INJECTORS
Fig 2: Fastening High-Pressure Line At Fuel Rail Using Torque Wrench VAS1331 With Open End Wrench Socket VAS1331/2
-- First tighten the high pressure line union nut by hand.
-- Make sure the high pressure line does not have tension.
-- Use torque wrench 5-50 Nm VAS1331 with the ring spanner insert VAS1331/2 to tighten the high pressure line on the fuel rail.
- Tightening Specifications High pressure line union nut: 27 Nm
