Left/Right Front Level Control System Sensor -G78- / -G289-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

NOTE:

Only sensors of the same version may be installed.

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT .

Guide the retaining hook on the sensor bracket into the subframe.

The sensor lever must point toward the back.

The headlamp adjustment must be checked after loosening. Refer to HEADLAMP, ADJUSTING .

-- If the Level Control System Sensor -- was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the control position must be reprogrammed. Refer to CONTROL POSITION, PROGRAMMING  and Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the Directional Stabilization Assistance Control Module -J759- must be calibrated again. Refer to LANE ASSIST, CALIBRATING .
