Coolant Level, Checking And Filling

WARNING:

The coolant reservoir is under pressure. Open only when the engine is cold.

CAUTION:

Use only distilled water for mixing coolant additives.

NOTE:

The vehicle be must level.

Approved frost protection additives .

The water used in the mixture greatly affects the effectiveness of the coolant and the corrosion protection. To meet water quality requirements, use only distilled water when mixing with coolant.

Small quantities of coolant can be added. Use Cooling System Charge Unit VAS 6096 if larger quantities of coolant are needed when filling.

Consult the owner's manual for the Cooling System Charge Unit VAS 6096.

Perform the Following:

-- When the engine is cold, check the coolant level via the markings -illustration- on the container.

Delivery Inspection: Coolant level is above the MIN mark.
Inspection service: Coolant level is above the MIN mark.

-- If the coolant level is too low: Fill according to the mixture ratio FREEZE PROTECTION, CHECKING => If the Freeze Protection is Insufficient: .

NOTE:

If there is a loss of fluid and this is not usage-related: Check for leaks to determine the cause and inform the customer ): Repair measures.
