ATF Capacity

Capacities	S tronic Transmission 0B5 - ATF
Original filling by the manufacturer	Approximately 7 to 7.5 liters ¹⁾
ATF change quantity	Refer to the FLUID CAPACITY TABLE information in the appropriate MAINTENANCE article .
Change interval	03 MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS -- Replace the ATF change filter, if equipped ²⁾ .
Lubricant	ATF for S tronic transmission 0B5.
¹⁾ The manufacturer fills the transmission with 0.5 liters above the normal level. The 0.5 liter overfilling serves to fill the empty ATF cooler after the transmission is installed. ²⁾ If the vehicle requires an ATF change, then the ATF filter must also be replaced. Refer to "On Transmissions with an ATF Filter -2- " (See Fig 1). From MY 2011 all transmissions are equipped with a replaceable filter. Only transmission with a replaceable filter are available as a replacement part, for this reason a vehicle from before MY 2011 may be equipped with a replaceable filter.

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the transmission.

Only use replacement part ATF for the S tronic transmission 0B5.
Allocate correct components.
Using other types of ATF can result in the malfunctions or transmission failure.
The ATF filler tool must be clean and the ATF must not be mixed with any other oils.

CAUTION:

Always replace the ATF filter -2- every time the ATF is changed.
