Coolant Pump Toothed Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the small coolant pipe. Refer to SMALL COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the coolant hoses -1 and 2- and lay them aside.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the toothed belt cover.

CAUTION:

The threads could be damaged.

The drive gear bolt has a left thread.

-- Loosen the bolt on the coolant pump drive wheel -1- clockwise in direction of -arrow- and unscrew it 3 turns using the Torque Wrench 1410 VAG1410 and the Torque Wrench 1331 Insert - Ring Wrench - 12mm T10360.
