Engine, Securing On Engine And Transmission Holder: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Holding Fixture - VW540-
- Engine and Transmission Holder - VAS6095A-
- Engine Sling - 2024A-
- Shop Crane - VAS6100-
Procedure
- Engine engaged with the -2024A- on the -VAS6100-
- To be aligned to the center of gravity of the assembly, the rails with holes of the lifting hooks must be inserted as shown.
CAUTION:
There Is a Risk of Injury from the Lifted Engine Falling
Parts of the body could be crushed.
- Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the lifting tackle with a securing pin.
- Remove the drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- For the assembly work secure the - VW540- on the engine.
- Secure the engine with the -VW540- on the -VAS6095A-.
