Right Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing : Removing
- The transmission is removed.
-- Remove the electrical connector -1- for the Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130- from the bracket, disconnect it and lay it aside.
Ignore items -2, 3, 4- and the -arrows-.
-- Remove the right catalytic converter.
-- Remove the right front muffler. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130- -2-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
The suspension components could be damaged.
- Do not rest the vehicle on its wheels if the subframe mount, the steering gear or the subframe crossbrace are not installed correctly.
All A4, A5 Coupe:
-- Remove the nut -1- for the power steering hydraulic fluid line bracket.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the subframe crossbrace.
The illustration shows the installation location on a vehicle with dynamic steering.
Audi A5 Cabriolet:
-- Remove the left and right bolts -1- and -2- and the brace.
-- Remove the bolt -2- for the power steering hydraulic line.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -arrows- and remove the subframe crossbrace.
Continuation for all vehicles:
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the right driveshaft heat shield -1-, if applicable.
-- Remove the bolt -2-, press the retaining tab off the transmission and tilt it back -arrow-.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and the bracket.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and the right catalytic converter.
Ignore -item 1-.
