Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the oil cooler. Refer to ENGINE OIL COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the engine oil. Refer to ENGINE OIL, EXTRACTING AND REPLACING OIL FILTER .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and the stabilizer bar.

-- Vehicles with the multitronic transmission 0AW or automatic transmission 0B6: remove the bolt -arrow- on the ATF lines.

NOTE:

Ignore -items 1 and 2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- on the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266- and free up the electrical wire.

-- Remove the bolts -1- for the lower section of the oil pan.

-- Carefully loosen the lower section of the oil pan from the bond without bending it.
