Front Coolant Pipes, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Drain the coolant (refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING ) or remove the After-Run Coolant Pump -V51- if equipped. Refer to After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the air duct -arrows-.
-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts for the coolant pump ribbed belt pulley by counterholding with a Wrench - Pin Type 3212.
-- Remove the left front wheel.
-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
Refrigerant can cause serious personal injury.
- Do not open the A/C system refrigerant circuit.
Danger of causing damage to the refrigerant lines and hoses.
- Do not bend, twist or stretch the refrigerant lines and hoses.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the A/C compressor from the bracket and lay it aside.
Ignore -item 1-.
-- Loosen the hose clamp -3- and remove the left coolant pipe bolts -1- and -2-.
-- Tip the coolant pump to the left slightly -arrow- and remove it from the upper coolant pipe.
-- Vehicles with secondary air system, remove the front secondary air hose -arrow- from its bracket and disconnect it; do to so press the release buttons.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- for the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-.
-- Remove the bolts -1, 2, 4 and 5-.
-- Remove the front coolant pipe from coolant hoses -arrows-.
