Overview - EVAP Canister And Leak Detection System

NOTE:
Through My 2012 the Leak Detection Pump -V144- is installed. Refer to -item 1- (see illustration).
From MY 2013 the Fuel Tank Leak Detection Control Module -J909- with integrated Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor -G400- is installed. Refer to -item 1- (see illustration).

- From MY 2013 Fuel Tank Leak Detection Control Module -J909- with integrated Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor -G400-
- Installed location: on the left side at the back of the underbody under the cover
- Check in Guided Fault Finding mode using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Leak Detection Pump -V144-, Removing and installing (refer to LEAK DETECTION PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) Fuel Tank Leak Detection Control Module -J909- with integrated Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor -G400- (refer to FUEL TANK LEAK DETECTION CONTROL MODULE WITH INTEGRATED FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ).
- Leak detection system air filter, removing and installing. Refer to LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM AIR FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Installed location: in the bottom of the spare wheel well
- Removing and installing. Refer to EVAP CANISTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Breather Line
- To the locking flange on the fuel tank
- To disconnect, press release button on connection piece. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
- Breather Line
- To the EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-
- To disconnect, press release button on connection piece. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, SEPARATING .
- Seal

- To the engine
-- Tighten the nut -2- to 5 Nm.
