Pistons, Removing and Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
- Arrow on the piston crown points toward belt pulley side.
- Install the compression ring. Refer to -item 10- (See Figure).
- Installing the oil scraping ring. Refer to -item 11- (See Figure).
- Coat the contact surface of the bearing shells and the cylinder wall with engine oil.
- Push the piston -1- with the -T40347- carefully by hand in the cylinder -arrow-.
- Arrow on the piston crown points toward belt pulley side.
- Install the connecting rod bearing cap. Pay attention to the installation position -item 2- (See Figure).
- Install the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Install the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
