-- Unscrew the bolts -arrows- to remove the plate -A-.

NOTE:

To install the bolt threads -arrows- e.g. clean them with a wire brush to rid them of locking fluid residue. Install the bolts with Locking Fluid AMV 185 101 A1.

-- Tighten bolts diagonally, -arrows- from the inside toward the outside using the specified torque; refer to -item 13- Bolt (See OVERVIEW - TRANSMISSION HOUSING - Figure).

First, remove the plate that locks the ball bearings in place; refer to Fig 3.

NOTE:

Do not swap out the ball bearings for the in- and output shaft; they are different heights.
