Telephone Overview, Japan, Through 11/03/2008

The telephone system consists of the cell phone pre-installation.

The Telephone Transceiver -R36- is connected to the MMI Infotainment through the Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module -J401-.

The cell phone mount connector cable is located in the center console. Operation is performed via Multimedia Control Head -E380- or via Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The microphones for the Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -R164- are integrated in the Front Interior Lamp -W1-. One microphone (Telephone Microphone -R38-) is connected to the Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module -J401- /Telephone Transceiver -R36-.

The Telephone Antenna -R65- is located inside the Radio/Telephone/Navigation System Antenna -R52- (roof antenna).

  1. Front Information Display Control Head -J685- in center of the instrument panel
  2. Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523-, behind the instrument panel
  3. Multimedia System Control Head -E380- in the front of the center console
  4. Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module -J401- behind luggage compartment left side trim
  5. Telephone Transceiver -R36- under the front passenger seat
  6. Connector cable in the center console storage compartment
  7. Microphone Unit in Front Roof Module -R164- (Telephone Microphone -R38-) in the Front Interior Lamp -W1-
