Radio -R-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MMI, FROM 11/03/2008: Removing

The infotainment rack must first be removed.

If a Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- is installed, remove it with its bracket.

-- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment.

-- Release and disconnect the connectors from the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps VAS6223/9 -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -1- and bolts -3- from the bracket -2- and lift the bracket with the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- into the luggage compartment.

-- Remove the die nut -1-, -2- and -4- on the infotainment rack -3-.

-- Move the infotainment rack -3- into the luggage compartment. Disconnect the connectors.

-- Unlock and disconnect the connectors on the Radio -R-.

-- Insert the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps VAS6223/9 -1- onto the MOST bus connector -2-.

-- Press the left and right tabs -arrows- on the Radio -R- and remove the Radio -R- in direction of -arrow- from the Infotainment rack.
