Multimedia System Control Head -E380-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

Vehicles with an Automatic Transmission:

-- Switch on the ignition.

-- Place the selector lever in the "S" position.

All vehicles:

-- Switch off the ignition.

The Multimedia Control Head -E380- is fastened -1- with springs in the center console -arrows-.

-- Remove the A/C system control head, refer to DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD .

-- Carefully pry out the selector lever boot with the Trim Removal Wedge 3409 at the side in direction of -arrows- and fold upward.

-- Carefully remove the trim molding around the Multimedia System Control Head -E380-.

CAUTION:

If the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- is removed with too much force, the catches on the Access/Start Authorization Button -E408- can be damaged, because the wires to the button are too short.

Carefully loosen and remove the Multimedia System Control Head -E380-.

-- Grip with a hand under the Multimedia System Control Head -E380- in direction of -arrow A- and carefully remove slightly upward from the center console in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Release and disconnect all connectors from the back of the Multimedia System Control Head -E380-.

Remove the Multimedia System Control Head -E380-.
