Wheel Bearing Unit, Front Wheel Drive (Fwd), Removing And Installing: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - WHEEL BEARING, VEHICLES WITH FRONT WHEEL DRIVE (FWD) .

-- Install the front seal and grease the stub axle -arrow- lightly with Grease.

-- Install the brake caliper and the brake rotor. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Damaged (dented) protective cap must be replaced.

A damaged (dented) protective cap allows moisture to enter. Therefore, always use the tool shown.

-- Drive in the protective cap with the Seal Installer - Camshaft Installer Kit - Sleeve 3241/4.

-- Install the wheel.

-- Tighten the wheel. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Tighten the wheel bearing unit collar bolt, but only when the vehicle is resting on its wheels. Refer to DRIVE AXLE THREADED CONNECTION, LOOSENING AND TIGHTENING .
