Brake Electric Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, RS 5: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Use new clamps when installing the vacuum line.

-- Insert the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- into the bracket.

-- Press the right and left clip -arrow- into the bracket by hand and secure the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Insert the bracket with the installed Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- into the engine compartment.

NOTE:

Make sure it is installed in the correct position

-- Install the bracket for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- on the body using two bolts -1 and 5- and tighten to 20 Nm.

-- Slide the new clamp over the vacuum hose.

-- Slide the vacuum hose over the connection for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

CAUTION:

Be careful not to kink or damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

NOTE:

For easier installation, moisten the hose and connection with water.

CAUTION:

Make sure the check valve is installed correctly. The arrow on the valve points in the direction of the pump.

-- Close the hose clamp with pliers.

-- Place the coolant pipe with the bracket on the pin.

-- Tighten the coolant pipe with the nut to 20 Nm.

-- Tighten the secondary pump hose to the bracket -4-.

-- Clip the vacuum hose into all brackets in the engine compartment.

-- Raise the vehicle.

-- Install the bracket -1- for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- on the body using the bolt -2- and tighten to 20 Nm.

-- Connect the connection -3- to the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- -4-.

-- Clip the secondary pump hose into the bracket on the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Install the wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Install the left front wheel. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Lower vehicle.
