Brake Rotor, Replacing, 1LM: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the bolts -1 and 13-.

Clean the brake rotor, wheel hub and contact surfaces with brake cleaner before installing.

-- Place the brake rotor on the hub.

NOTE:

When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

-- Install the new bolt -1- and tighten it to 9 Nm.

-- Install the brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LM .

-- Install the brake pads. Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LM .

NOTE:

Before moving the vehicle, press the brake pedal firmly several times to seat the brake pads correctly in their operating position.

-- Install the wheels.

Wheel bolt tightening specification. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

CAUTION:

After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

CAUTION:

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
