Brake Pedal, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Automatic Transmission: Installing
If possible, leave the brake pedal stop -17- installed; it could break the mount for the brake lamp sensor -10- if the brake pedal is released too quickly.
Do not destroy the brake pedal stop -17-. There is the danger that the brake lamp sensor mount -10- could break when the brake pedal is released.
-- Slide the left retainer -12- onto the pins.
-- Slide the pins from left to right through the axle in the brake pedal.
-- Secure the pins with the right retainer -5-.
The pins must be secured with the securing clips -5 and 12- on both sides.
-- Install the bolt -11- and tighten.
Clip the brake pedal to the brake booster.
-- Hold the ball head of pushrod in front of the mount and push the brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly.
-- Install the brake lamp sensor. Refer to BRAKE LAMP SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the footwell vents -A-B-.
-- Connect the connector -C- on the footwell vent.
-- Install the driver side instrument panel cover -1 to 3-.
