Steering Column Switch Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

-- Remove the driver airbag. Refer to SIDE AIRBAGS .

-- Remove the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the steering column trim panel. Refer to UPPER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and LOWER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

WARNING:

The technician must discharge static electricity before disconnecting the connector -3-, for example by touching the door striker pin.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Press the catch -1- in direction of -arrow- until the connector -2- disengages.
