Overview - Steering Column Switch Module: Notes

- The steering column switch module consists of a return spring with slip ring, Steering Angle Sensor -G85-, steering column switch (turn signal switch, windshield wiper switch, cruise control switch) and Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-.
- Fault finding is done in "Guided Fault Finding " using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- with Airbag Spiral Spring/Return Spring with Slip Ring -F138-, Steering Angle Sensor -G85-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .CAUTION:
Risk of damaging coil connector.
- Coil connector with slip ring is not to be turned following removal.
- Pin assignment for the steering column electronics control module -J527-. Refer to STEERING COLUMN ELECTRONICS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR ASSIGNMENT .
- Mount
- With Turn Signal Switch -E2-, Windshield Wiper Intermittent Mode Switch -E22-
- On vehicles with cruise control with a Cruise control switch -E45-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Turn Signal Switch -E2-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Clamping Ring

- Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Ignition Key
-- Tighten the screw -2- on the Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- -item 1- to 3 Nm.
