Left/Right Position Lamp Bulb -M1- / -M3-, Removing And Installing, Halogen Headlamps (Through My 2012): Removing

-- Remove the headlamp housing. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, HALOGEN HEADLAMPS THROUGH MY 2012 .

NOTE:

To replace the position lamp bulb, the headlamp housing must be cut at the location provided with a sharp box cutter.

A housing cover can be ordered to seal the installation opening.

WARNING:

There is a risk of injury and damage.

Wear protective gloves and eyewear.
To avoid damaged electrical wires in the headlamp housing, do not cut too deep.

-- Cut the cover -1- out of the headlamp housing with a sharp box cutter.

NOTE:

Remove any shavings and grit on the blind cover from the headlamp housing.

-- Turn the socket -2- counterclockwise -arrow- and remove from the housing.

-- Release the retaining spring -arrow- and disconnect the connector -2- at the socket -1-.
