Sill Panel Strip, Removing And Installing, Front Sill Panel: Removing

-- Remove the instrument panel side cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the A-pillar gap cover. Refer to A-PILLAR GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Driver side:
-- Remove the cable operating lever HOOD RELEASE LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front sill panel trim screw -2-.
Procedure for both sides of vehicle:
-- Unclip the front sill panel strip -1- from the sill panel beginning at the front using the Trim Removal Wedge 3409 -arrows-.
-- Pull the front sill panel trim toward the rear and out of the footrest.
-- Disengage the front sill panel trim on the operating lever mount and remove it.
