-- Versions with foldable rear seat backrest: for the rear seat backrest forward.

-- For vehicles with a fixed rear seat backrest: remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FIXED REAR SEAT BACKREST .

-- Vehicles equipped with a fixed rear seat backrest: remove the center rear seat belt guide. Refer to REAR SEAT BELT GUIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CENTER REAR SEAT BELT GUIDE, FIXED REAR SEAT BACKREST .

-- Vehicles equipped with a fixed rear seat backrest: remove the center rear belt anchor. Refer to REAR SEAT BELT LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RIGHT REAR SEAT BELT LATCH WITH REAR BELT END FITTING IN THE CENTER .

-- Remove the D-pillar trim panel. Refer to D-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (SEDAN) .

-- Remove the speaker trim. Refer to SPEAKER TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipment versions with speaker: Remove the screws -1 through 4-.

-- Vehicles equipped with an additional fastener: remove the bolt -arrow- on the left of the rear shelf (under the speaker trim).

-- Unclip the front rear shelf using the Pry Lever 80-200 -A arrows-.

-- Disengage the rear shelf on the left and right side at the rear seat belt guides.

-- Vehicles equipped with a sun shade: detach the rear shelf from the sun shade.

-- Pull the rear shelf forward -B arrows- and remove it.
