-- Remove the side cover from the instrument panel on the driver side. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- From MY 2012: Remove the MMI screen cover. Refer to MMI SCREEN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FROM MY 2012 .

-- Unclip the instrument cluster gap cover from the instrument panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the light switch. Refer to 96 INTERIOR LIGHTS, SWITCHES .

-- Versions with headlamp range control: Remove the Headlamp Range Control Adjuster -E102-. Refer to Headlamp Range Control Adjuster -E102-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the light switch trim -1-.
