Sill Panel Trim, Removing And Installing, AUDI RS 4: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the damaged clips and expanding nuts.

-- Clean the adhesive surface on the vehicle body with Cleaning Solution D 009 401 04.

Install the sill panel trim in the following sequence -1 through 7- :

-- 1. Position the sill panel trim -2- on the sill -1-. The securing tabs -3- sit loosely in the mounts when doing this.

-- 2. Press the front of the sill panel trim -1- into the mount on the fender in direction of -arrow-.

-- 3. Remove the protective film from the rear adhesive tape -4- and install the expanding clips -4-.

-- 4. Remove the protective film from the back towards the front from the adhesive strips -3-. The sill panel trim must not be pressed in yet while doing this.

-- 5. Install the securing tabs into the mount.

-- 6. Attach the entire length of the sill panel trim to the sill starting from the rear and moving towards the front with the Roller 3356.

-- 7. Install the front expanding clip -2-.

Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
Wait at least 24 hours before using.

-- Install the rear aerodynamic trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY PANELS .

-- Install the front wheel housing liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
