Wheel Bearing Housing, Removing And Installing: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 18 other vehicles, including the 2016 Audi S4, 2016 Audi A4 Quattro, 2016 Audi A4, 2015 Audi S4, and 2015 Audi A4 Quattro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

NOTE:

Two different wheel bearing housings were installed in production. The difference between the two is the steering arm strength.

When exchanging the wheel bearing housing, make sure the length of the thread on the tie rod end is sufficient (there must be approximately 5 mm extra thread). If this is not the case, then install a new tie rod end with a longer thread pin.

Distinguishing characteristic. Refer to Wheel Bearing Housing with Different Steering Arm Thickness
