Coupling Rod, Removing And Installing: Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:
Note the installation position of the coupling rod.
Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent. Only tighten suspension screws when vehicle is in curb weight or control position.
Lifting wheel bearing to curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING, FRONT AXLE .
-- The bolt -1- for connecting the coupling rod to the stabilizer bar -4- must be attached to the "small" surface -2- of the coupling rod collar and secured with the nut -3-.
Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - SUBFRAME .
A5 through August 2007
-- Install the threaded connections -1- and -2- but do not tighten them.
-- Lifting wheel bearing to curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING, FRONT AXLE .
-- Tighten connections -1- and -2-.

-- Tighten the threaded connections -1- and -3-.
