Peened triple roller joint AAR 2600i with an outer CV joint with an 85/88 mm diameter.
Peened triple roller joint AAR 3300i with an outer CV joint with an 94/100 mm diameter.
Peened triple roller joint AAR 3300i with an outer CV joint with an 99/106 mm diameter.
- Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tensioning. Refer to CLAMP ON TRIPLE ROLLER JOINT AND OUTER JOINT, TENSIONING .
- Protective Boot with Triple Roller Joint Adapter
- Protective joint boot must fit in groove and on joint contour.
- Before tightening clamp, briefly raise CV boot to allow pressure to equalize.
- Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tensioning. Refer to CLAMP ON TRIPLE ROLLER JOINT AND OUTER JOINT, TENSIONING .
- Locking Ring
- Always replace if removed
- Insert before mounting in ring groove (not visible with joint installed)
- Before installing CV joint, align sealing ring in center with opening facing upward.
- Outer CV Joint
- Replace only as complete unit.

- Checking. Refer to Outer Cv Joint, Checking .
- For installing. Refer to Outer CV Joint, Installing
- Greasing. Refer to Grease Quantity and Type
- When installing joint on axle shaft, splines on axle shaft must be lightly coated with grease used in joint.
- Bolt
- 200 Nm +180°
- Always replace if removed
- Before installing, clean the threads in the CV joint with a tap.
- Follow the sequence when loosening and tightening the threaded connection between the drive axle and the wheel hub. Refer to DRIVE AXLE THREADED CONNECTION, LOOSENING AND TIGHTENING .
- Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tensioning. Refer to CLAMP ON TRIPLE ROLLER JOINT AND OUTER JOINT, TENSIONING .
- CV Boot for Outer CV Joint
- Check for tears and scuffing
- Before tightening clamp, briefly raise CV boot to allow pressure to equalize.
- Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tensioning. Refer to CLAMP ON TRIPLE ROLLER JOINT AND OUTER JOINT, TENSIONING .
- Drive Axle
- Removing and installing. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Locking Ring
- Triple Roller Star
The chamfer -arrow- faces the drive axle splines.
- When installing triple roller star on axle shaft, splines on axle shaft must be lightly coated with grease used in joint.
- Locking Ring
- Always replace if removed
- Insert in shaft groove
- Bolt
- Always replace if removed
- Tightening specification. Refer to "OVERVIEW - WHEEL BEARING" -item 22 - Bolt.
