Ignition/starter switch, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM). Refer to Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM), removing and installing .
- Check whether the electrical harness connector at induction coil is disconnected.
- Disconnect harness connector -1- at ignition/starter switch.
- Remove sealing paint from both mounting screws -arrows-.
- Loosen mounting bolts -arrows- somewhat and pull ignition/starter switch out of steering lock housing -2-.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:
NOTE:
Make sure ignition/starter switch and lock cylinder are both in the same position, for example "ignition on" when installing.
- Secure mounting bolts -arrows- at steering lock housing -2- with sealing paint.
