Information on Radio R and CD Changer R41 retrofitting

The connectors for the original Audi Radio R are provided in the radio package. Commercial radio units with different connectors must be connected with adapter cable.
When connecting the speed signal, ensure it is not short circuited. Otherwise, malfunctions can occur in the vehicle.
Using commercially available radios can cause interference with the antenna amplifier because the original Audi Radio R has "remotely powered antennas" which receive voltage supply from the Radio R via the middle conductor of the high frequency cable. Use the remote power adapter from Audi.
For CD preparation, the CD changer R41 wiring harness is already installed in the vehicle. The connecting wire can only be used with genuine Audi CD-changers R41.
