Navigation System Antenna R50 , Avant, removing and installing

The roof antenna on the Avant consists of the Telephone Antenna R65 and Navigation System Antenna R50.
The Navigation System Antenna R50 wire is routed up to the devices in the left luggage compartment base mount while the Telephone Antenna R65 is placed on the right D-pillar.
- Turn off all electrical components.
- Remove ignition key.
Removing
- Remove roof end trim → - 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
- Remove left and right D-pillar trim → - 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
- Remove Luggage Compartment Light W3 → - 96 LIGHTS, SWITCHES - INTERIOR, ANTI-THEFT .
- Remove luggage compartment left side trim → - 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
- Lower the rear molded headliner → - 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
- Disconnect Telephone Antenna R65 wire - arrow - on right D-pillar.
- Disconnect connectors at Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module J401.
- Loosen antenna wires up to roof antenna.
- Remove nut - arrow - (7 Nm).
- Remove Navigation System Antenna R50 upward from roof.
Installing
- Install in reverse order.
The washer under the Navigation System Antenna R50 nut has a cut-out through which the antenna wires must be guided.
