Brake caliper, servicing

NOTE:
- Only use methylated spirits to clean brake parts.
- When carrying out repairs, install all parts supplied in repair kit.
- New brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and pre-bled.
- Apply thin coat of lithium grease G 052 150 A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.
1 - Dust cap
- Install onto bleeder valve
2 - Bleeder valve, 12 Nm
- Apply a thin coat of lithium grease G 052 150 A2 to the threads before screwing in.
3 - Brake caliper housing
4 - Seal, 32 mm piston
- Removing and installing → Piston for front brake caliper, removing and installing
5 - Seal, 28 mm piston
- Removing and installing → Piston for front brake caliper, removing and installing
6 - Piston, 32 mm
- Removing and installing → Piston for front brake caliper, removing and installing
- Apply thin coat of lithium grease G 052 150 A2 to piston beforehand
7 - Piston, 28 mm
- Removing and installing → Piston for front brake caliper, removing and installing
- Apply thin coat of lithium grease G 052 150 A2 to piston beforehand
8 - Protective cap for 32 mm piston
- Do not damage when inserting piston
9 - Protective cap for 28 mm piston
- Do not damage when inserting piston
10 - Support plate
11 - Hex socket head bolt, 6 Nm
12 - Connecting line, 17 Nm
