Brake calipers, servicing

Rear brakes with automatic adjustment
NOTE:
- Install all parts supplied in repair kit.
1 - Brake disc
- Always replace both sides
- Remove brake caliper prior to removing
- Tighten evenly, on both sides, starting from thickness when new
- Allocation → Brakes
- Thickness → Brakes
2 - Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm
- M10x1.25 x 60
- Always replace
- Use socket T40027
3 - Brake carrier with guide pins and protective caps
- Replacement carriers are supplied assembled and with sufficient grease on guide pins
- If protective caps or guide pins are damaged, replace using repair kit. Use grease packet supplied to lubricate guide pins.
4 - Ribbed bolt, 75 Nm
- Always replace
- M10x1.25 x 50
5 - Brake pads
- Always replace both sides
- Removing and installing → Brake pads, removing and installing
- Checking pad thickness:
- Different versions ETKA
6 - Brake disc cover
7 - Collar bolt, 10 Nm
- M6x12
8 - Self-locking bolt, 35 Nm
- Always replace
- When loosening and tightening, counter-hold on guide pin
9 - Brake caliper housing
- Do not disconnect brake hose when changing brake pads
- Servicing brake calipers
10 - Wheel bolts
- Installing wheels → 44 - WHEELS, TIRES, VEHICLE ALIGNMENT
11 - Torx bolt
- Tightening torque: 5 Nm
