Hydraulic control module, removing and installing

Removing

CAUTION: The hydraulic control assembly must not under any circumstances be supported on the long pump shaft on the back side or raised up. Otherwise, the blades inside the vane pump will be crushed and the pump damaged.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal, note the following:

NOTE:
  • Replace gaskets and O-rings.

NOTE:
  • When installing control module, make sure that shifting cam (item 1 in Fig 3 ) engages into free groove - arrow  - on control piston - -.

Check function of control piston

If control piston does not move, shifting cam has not engaged into groove - arrow  - at control piston on rear side of hydraulic control module. In this case:

Installing slider for selector lever position

NOTE:
  • For the sake of illustration, transmission is shown without hydraulic control module.

Hydraulic control module to transmission housing 10
