Check hub - arrow - of torque converter for wear and corrosion.
Check whether balance plates are properly seated and threads are undamaged.

If signs of wear and corrosion on torque converter, loosened balance plates or damaged threads are detected:

Replace torque converter.

NOTE:

If the torque converter clutch is burnt or worn, sand-like material and residues can be found in the ATF filter.

If the bolts - arrow - for the attachment of the torque converter to the drive plate protrude only 2 mm, the torque converter can get dented and the torque converter clutch can be damaged. Therefore, only use original bolts.
