• ATF filler tool VAG1924
• Engine switched off.

• Secure container of ATF filler tool VAG1924 as high up on vehicle as possible.
• Raise vehicle.

• Remove noise insulation panel (arrows).

• Place Drip tray VAG1306 under transmission.

• Remove drain plug (arrow - 1  - ).
• Let ATF drain.
• Tighten new drain plug (arrow - 1  - ) to 40 Nm.

• Remove ATF check plug (arrow - 2  - ).

• Insert ATF filler tool VAG1924 into an opening (arrow) in the protective cap, but do not knock cap upward.

• ATF specification → Capacity

• Fill with ATF using ATF filler tool VAG1924 until ATF exits from the check hole.
• Shift selector lever into position "P".
• Start engine.
• Keeping the brake pedal depressed, shift into all selector lever positions at idle speed. Each position must remain selected for at least 10 seconds.

• Shift selector lever into position "P".
• Check ATF level and top off → ATF level, checking  onward.
• Install noise insulation.
