Checking and correcting ATF level

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Audi A4, 2004 Audi A4, 2003 Audi A4, and 2002 Audi A4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
  • ATF level is checked at the ATF check plug.
  • ATF level is correct if a little bit of fluid still escapes at the ATF check plug between 35 ° and 45 ° C * See note (dependent on the fluid level when warming up).

* For warm countries 50 ° C

CAUTION: Wear protective glasses.

  • ATF check plug must be closed again by 45 ° C * See note at the latest.
