Adjustment overview

NOTE:
  • When working on transmission, drive pinion, ring gear or gear set only need to be replaced if components were replaced which directly influence the final drive.
  • No adjustment is needed when replacing drive pinion double angular contact ball bearing.
  • Refer to the following table to avoid unnecessary adjustments:
To be adjusted: Pinion Ring gear Torsional backlash
  (" S 3 " + " S 4 ") (" S 1 " + " S 2 ") 0,12 - 0,22
  → Pinion, adjusting  → Ring gear, adjusting
