Camshaft Guide Frame Tightening Specifications And Sequence

NOTE:

The guide frame for the left cylinder head camshaft is shown in the illustration. The right cylinder head is identical.

Replace any bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

-- Tighten the bolts in 3 steps and in the sequence shown:

Stage Bolts Tightening specification/additional turn
1. -1 through 21- Install the bolts all the way in by hand
  • The guide frame must touch the entire contact surface on the cylinder head.
2. -1 through 21- 8 Nm
3. -1 through 21- Tighten 90° additional turn
