ATF Flush: Procedure

For a normal ATF change, only about 55 to 60% of the total ATF in the transmission is replaced.

The "ATF flush" is necessary when old ATF in the transmission must be removed completely.

The ATF must always be flushed for the following procedures:

As described in the following, the test run must be executed twice and then the respective ATF must be changed.

This is the only way the ATF in the transmission can be changed completely.

The following describes flushing the ATF in 7 steps.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the transmission.

  • Perform all steps exactly as described.
